Hmmm, fist critique I've written for a set photo, so forgive me if I get it all wrong
I've give vision the highest rating because it looks like a lot of thought went into this shot. Attention was paid to the smaller details, not just "is the light good" I usually prefer more of a landscape to portrait, but this makes for an excellent portrait shot.
I gave Originality a 3.5 , really hott girl, nice car, glamor pose nothing wildly new or ground breaking. but I do like the model's stance in this shot. As she is standing instead of leaning forward or laying on the car, it makes it more of an attitude shot rather than being provocative. Still sexy as hell , just not cheap the focus is the model with the car off to the side, and the background not being as sharp it brings all one's attention to the model.
Technique gets a 4. there are a couple things that I don't like about the shot. first, the car is cleaned and waxed wonderfully, crisp reflection of the landscape off the side, the focus on the car and the model is sharp. color choices on both are good. Which, makes the grass at her feet seem kinda washed out. If Possible I would have found a stretch of grass that was vibrant green and shot on it. just the near grass and the dirt track /road behind seem kinda washed out color wise in comparison with the rest of the shot. The other thing that I don't like [ and this prolly shows how much of a freak I am] is the reflection of the model's hand on the car. the rest of her reflection is all in shadow and shows as as silhouette more so. but the hand is clearer and my attention is drawn to the image and I'm like " oh look it's her hand, well 2 fingers of it, it just kinds looks wrong" and that pulls my attention to that detail and away from enjoying the picture as a whole. Myself, I would have posed the hand diff if I could without altering her pose drastically. or maybe done something in ps to shadow it a bit more. but, that's me and my "will notice small details" thing
Impact get's a 4. Because it IS a wonderful shot. the red in the models top harmonizes well with the red in the GTR logo
and puts some nice color to the shot. The makeup is done absolutely stone cold wonderful. and the focus is perfect. Despite not being drastically different, portrait instead of landscape and some washed out grass, this is something I would have on the wall, desk, somewhere in a nice frame. It's something I could look at more than a few times and not get tired of.
And omg that was long. hopefully, out of all that babbling/opinions/ ect if it gives you any ideas for perspectives on future shoots. then great. Keep up the great work!
